Ti West apparently shot this on the sly at the same time he was making X (2022). It is a prequel to X, and the second film in the MaXXXine trilogy, just to be confusing. As with X this film is expertly crafted and Mia Goth’s performance is absolutely stellar. Ultimately we decided that the ideologies of the trilogy will greatly depend on how the story arcs are carried into the third film and resolved.
